Boulevard: Bourbon Barrel Quad

Like its lighter lager cousin, the pretty poppy-colored pour of this beefy brew instantly erupted into a flurry of foam. Flecked with lots of dark red-tinged yeasty bits, this beer hits the nose with plenty of caramel, corn and oaky bourbon, along with a tinge of resin. On the palate, the boozy bourbon is unmistakable. Bready, chemical underpinnings add to the long, warming finish of this 11.2 percent ABV quad.
