Buckeye Booze, Whiskey Style!

Ohio’s spirit production continues to boom with these additions to the whiskey lineup.

Red Eagle Ohio Bourbon Whiskey

This Geneva-made bourbon is pot distilled in small batches and aged at least a year in charred oak casks. Very much in the style of traditional American bourbon, it’s got a distinctly pleasing malted grain aroma and smooth, elegant flavor reminiscent of maraschino cherry and toasted pecan.

90.2 proof; $23/375ml

Seven Brothers Hickory Smoked Whisky

This unusual whisky made in Painesville is perfect for fans of peaty scotch whisky with its smoky aroma and assertive flavor.

80 proof; $32.24

Prices may vary.
