Downeast Cider House: Cranberry Blend Craft Cider

The label advises drinkers to “shake hard, then wait ten minutes” before quaffing this unfiltered brew. The lovely blood orange color is cloudy with fruit sediment and has just the tiniest bit of fizz. A funny chemical, almost ashy, odor disperses after the first sip. A bright, juicy cider, Downeast’s cranberry crispness has just enough sour tang and is ideal for fall. This is an easy drinker at just 5 percent ABV.
