Oliver Winery started in 1972. Oliver’s state-of-the-art winery is the largest and most modernly equipped in Indiana. The 100% employee-owned company is also one of the largest wineries in the U.S. As the winery grows, its perfectionist winemakers continue to craft 40+ wines— from dry to sweet — with heart and soul.
The wines are seriously good, but unpretentious and full of personality. A few top picks for fall:
Oliver Soft Red
Everyone loves a bargain, especially one with credentials. For the last 15 years Oliver’s Soft Red has been a top selling wine in the Midwest, earning an overall 56 medals since 2010, a 93-point rating in the 2015 Consumer Wine Awards, and a Best Buy and Gold in the 2016 Mid-America Wine Competition. This sweet red is a crowd-pleaser, best served chilled.
Apple Pie
Around $9 a bottle, Apple Pie wine is an affordable and surprising seasonal take on what wine should be. For this seasonal wine, now in its fourth year of production, we painstakingly perfected the balance of tart, crisp, fresh apple and creamy, sweet vanilla. It features fresh-pressed, 100% apple wine (no concentrates).
Oliver Blueberry Moscato
Light and lovely, this newly released wine is clean and vibrant with a hint of bubble. It’s made with real blueberry juice, never artificial flavors or additives. Simply wine and real fruit. A low-ABV and $10-$14 price point make it perfect for long lazy fall afternoons.
Find these wines in 28 states or via the winery’s online shop. Their revamped tasting room is a world-class destination, ranked among Travel & Leisure’s top 25 wineries to visit in the U.S. Fall is the winery’s busiest season, and you can’t go wrong with their stunning foliage, bountiful pumpkin displays, and delicious picnic fare.
